In Memorandum

Sadly Brother Trevor Osborne K.O.M. passed away on the 17th January 2018.  Bro Trevor was initiated in the Pharos De Dubris lodge on the 14th November 2006 and has always remained a compliant member of that lodge.  He was raised to the Third Degree (K.O.M.) on the 13th October 2012 and everything was in place for him to be raised to the Fourth Degree (R.O.H.)  on the 7th April 2018 but sadly time has beaten him.

Brother Trevor was one of those who would always step up to the plate if you wanted something done  or you needed transport to get you somewhere, specially to an R.A.O.B. event. There was always the inevitable silly (Christmas Cracker) joke and everyone waited for it when in his company., he was also a "Balloon Twister Artist" and while at events he would love to make shapes out of balloons and give them away to the ladies and children.

He leaves behind Nicky his wife and their two sons and they will miss him and his humour.  Rest in Peace Bro Trevor

Sadly Brother John (CORNY) McGarry K.O.M.. passed away on the 26th September 2017,  Brother Corny as he liked to be known was initiated in the Whit Cliffs Lodge No 9993 on the 12th May 1976 a true Buff having been in the Order for over 41 years and was made an Honorary Member by his compliant lodge the Dover Patrol Lodge No 3765 only last year.

He served the Province in any way he could, he was a Trustee of Provincial Grand Lodge, an office he held for over 25 years, resigning only two years ago due to ill health. He held the offices of Provincial Grand Primo,  President of Knights Chapter and President of Examining Council, he was also involved with the committees that organised the 1977 & 1999 Grand Lodge Meetings in Folkestone and the Grand Lodge England Convention also held in Folkestone in 1988.

Brother Corny will be missed by us all in the Province, his smile, the odd joke and how he liked to see things done correctly, specially our ceremonies.   Our thoughts are with June his wife and all the family.    Rest in Peace Brother Corny.

Spirit Of Truth, before we homeward wend,
On Thee we call;
Assist us each to succour and defend.
Good Brethren all.
From cares and sorrows,
Absent  Brethren free,
Where'er they roam, in Air, on Land, or Sea.

Let Thy kind Spirit hover round them now,
And so enthral;
That they will keep their Obligation Vow,
So say we all.
And when on us the Ivy leaves descend,
Grant we may join Thy link, our Brother's Friend.

 POEM Written by David Harkins - Silloth, Cumbria, Uk

You can shed tears that he is gone

Or you can smile because he has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him

Or you can be full of the love that you shared.

You can turn your back  on tomorrow and live yesterday

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him  and only that he has gone

Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what he would want: smile open your eyes, love and go on.
